Pretty Simple was founded by Leah Mickschl in 2014 after her breast cancer diagnosis inspired her to pursue a dream of building a business centered on thoughtful design, meaningful relationships, and giving back.

Pretty Simple supports Type 1 Diabetes research through our CURE Mittens line, designed to raise awareness and dollars to support the type 1 diabetes community. The mission is personal. Founder Leah Mickschl's daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 10, two years after Pretty Simple was founded. Every penny possible from CURE Mittens sales is donated to type 1 non-profits like Beyond Type 1 and Breatkthrough T1D, to fund research toward a cure. Each pair comes in a reusable canister that doubles as a piggy bank, encouraging ongoing donations beyond the purchase. CURE Mittens are available year-round at prettysimpleme.com for $40 per pair.
